Yoga Classes in Kalispell, Montana

In-person yoga classes are offered in the fall, winter, and spring in Kalispell, Montana. Classes are held in the upstairs room at First Presbyterian Church, 540 S. Main Street, Kalispell, Montana.

Class Schedule

I’m currently teaching a class on Wednesday mornings from 10:00–11:30 AM.

This is not a drop-in class. Students sign up and pay for a session of classes, usually one class per week for a month.

Class size is limited to 12 students.

Pricing

Sessions are priced at $12 per class multiplied by the number of classes in the session.

For example, a 4-week session would be:

4 classes × $12 = $48

By signing up for the session, a space is reserved for you whether or not you can attend every class. Students pay for the full session even if they know they will need to miss a class.

Reserve Your Space

Please email me to reserve a space, or to join the waiting list if the class is full.

Jane Adams - Kalispell Yoga Classes & Studio

The Studio Space

The studio is located in a lovely upstairs room with windows and wood floors. Mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets, and chairs are available, so you do not need to bring anything unless you prefer to use your own mat.

About Jane’s Classes

The focus in my classes is cultivating the things that are essential for aging well:

  •  A strong, supple back and core
  •  Strong hips, legs, feet, and ankles, along with a good sense of balance
  •  Joints that can move painlessly through their full range of motion
  •  Full-body muscular strength and flexibility
  •  A relaxed nervous system and a calm mind

A Gentle, Therapeutic Approach

Classes begin with a full-body warm-up based on Viniyoga, a gentle therapeutic style of yoga designed to gradually warm the body and lubricate the joints. We then practice a wide variety of poses to work the entire body.

All yoga poses are taught with careful attention to safe, effective alignment based on Iyengar yoga. Every class also includes movements to strengthen the feet, ankles, legs, and hips and to improve balance, drawing on Tai Chi as well as western balance science.

Breath, Balance & Well-Being

When appropriate, poses are coordinated with the breath to encourage full, deep, relaxed breathing. This is one of the easiest and fastest ways to reduce feelings of stress and anxiety and promote relaxation and well-being.

My hope is that after yoga class you feel more relaxed and better than when you arrived, while also learning practical tools that can enhance your everyday life.

Accessible for a Wide Range of Abilities

Classes could be considered gentle in the sense that we do not practice difficult yoga poses, and many poses are modified to make them accessible for people with a wide range of abilities.

But have no fear—you’ll still work your entire body!

Mind, Body & Spirit

I also incorporate ideas from the field of mind-body-spirit well-being. I love reading about neuroplasticity, the mind-body connection, and the science of happiness.

Though I’m no expert in these areas, I try to encourage an awareness of how our physical health is influenced by our thoughts and emotions, and vice versa.
